Carmelo is a dreamy orange tabby with white trim. This handsome gentleman came from humble beginnings, living the grease-monkey life near an auto repair shop. For a while, he played it cool and kept his distance like the mysterious loner in a Hallmark movie. But over time, with some regular meals and kind words, Carmelo decided humans weren’t so bad after all—and that pets were, in fact, awesome.

Once he was neutered and brought into a warm home, Carmelo had the look of someone who just won the life lottery. Safe, cozy, full belly? Dream. Come. True. He now happily accepts all the head rubs and lap time you can give— and yes, that adorably gigantic boy-head was absolutely made for scritches. Occasionally, he gets spooked by quick movements (because, hey, when you’ve lived around car engines and loud tools, a sudden sneeze can feel like a jump scare). But give him a little space and he’s back for more love before you know it.
